Information: The Egyptian healer is a religious figure that can heal units in close proximity to it.

History: Religion was very important to the Ancient Egyptians. As a result armies would always have some sort of religious advisor who would attempt to predict the outcome of battles through their knowledge of the Gods will.
Ladder Team

Information: The Ladder Team can construct ladders that can be used by other units to assault walls or other elevated defensive positions.
Weaknesses: All Military Units
History: Ladders would normally be constructed by carpenters then brought to a siege by regular military units. Ladders were the favored device of Ancient Egyptian armies for assaulting fortified positions.
Slave (Male)
Civilization: Egyptians

Information: The lowest rung on the social ladder, Slaves are the essential backbone to your Civilization. They collect resources and construct and repair all of your structures.
Weaknesses: All Military Units
History: The life of a slave in ancient Egypt depended largely upon whom you were a slave to. Slaves to high officials would often live lives that had more freedom then those on the lowest rungs of the social level that were not slaves. However, slaves used for physical labour could expect a short grueling life. Slaves in Ancient Egypt were mostly composed of conquered peoples.
Citizen (Male)
Civilization: Greeks
Information: Citizens gather resources and builds structures in order to expand your empire.
Weaknesses: Countered by all military units.
History: Depending on the polis (city) you were born, your status could be quite different. In Athens the population was divided into four social classes based on wealth.
Female Civilian
Civilization: Greeks
Information: The Female Civilian is a campaign only unit that has no special attributes.
Weaknesses: Countered by all military units.
History: The world of classical Greece was a man’s world. In Athens, for instance, only men had the right to attend the Assembly, vote, hold office and serve of juries. In any economic or legal transaction women were always represented by a guardian, before marriage by their father, and after marriage by their husband.

Pedagogue

Information: Good against nothing. Countered by all military units.
Special Ability: Trains formations to increase their attack and defense.

History: In an ancient Greece a pedagogue was a slave employed by a family to teach its younger sons basic skills. These skills could be military, language or even rhetoric based.
Female Civilian
Civilization: Persians
Information: The Female Civilian is a campaign only unit that has no special attributes.
Weaknesses: Countered by all military units.
History: Persian women in ancient Persia were aristocratice and possessed numerous rights sometimes on par with men. They were known to work beside men in workshops and received the same salary. High-born women were known to even exercise an influence on affairs of state. Female members of the Achaemenid royal family possessed their own estates, and ancient sources survive showing their active involvement in management–such as letters that relate to the shipment of grain, wine, and animals to palaces from distant land-holdings.

Information: This small group of hardy ladder carriers is responsible for constructing ladders that can be used by infantry units to assault walls or other elevated defensive positions. Infantry units will climb up the ladder to engage the enemy atop the walls or fortifications.
Weaknesses: All military units
History: As with any typical ancient army, besiegers required the use of ladders to directly assault enemy walls and defensive positions. The Persians as well made efficient use of this basic assaulting utility.

Information: Persian Subjects gather resources and builds structures in order to expand your empire.
Weaknesses: Countered by all military units.
History: Persian citizens enjoyed the wonderful benefits of its high-class society. Male citizens who became fathers often ruled with tyrannical authority, treating their children as slaves. Different Persian men acquired different statuses in society depending on their bloodline, including craftsmen, priests, and military. Slaves were not of Persian blood, but were very well needed to work on projects of agriculture, warfare, and monumental construction. Some slaves, such as state owned, were well paid.

History: Roman citizenship was given to every child born in a legal marriage between Roman citizens. Citizens had many rights, which other people (for example, slaves) lacked. They had the right to vote, to make legal contracts, to become married, and to stand for office, amongst other things.
