hey guys,

im new to this forum but im a Rise and Fall Enthusiast.
im sitting here waiting for my copy to show up browsing through your forums so can i trouble you for some info?

Im planning on making a HUGE scenario which has ideas from Heroes of M&M and Guildwars. So aside from the usual build up armies and defeat other player want to make it slightly RPG with treasures and skills and item hidden around the map making your hero even better than it can be already. Kinda that guildwars feel. I am very familiar with the Empires editor

i want to know if the following are possible or in the editor. Call it food for thought while im waiting.

-can i make an insane sized map like in empires?
-Mountable chariots or horses for the heroes like in some movies?
-making some of the campaigne weapons/powers available via triggers...ie multishot, piercing shot (these will be artifacts hidden on the map for heroes to find)
-are there extra powers not used?
-heroes with different weapons.in an early screenshot achillies had a spear.wondering if the model is still present
-what other heroes are their in the editor
-how high can terrain be made?.Im wanting to make an insanely massive Mountain..way bigga than that godzilla!!!..haha
-the size proportions can still be messed with right?.like in empires?..hehe...masive bismark in that was sweet
-any editor specific goodies
-setting up a neutral building where you can hire unique units for a price (complicated triggers mostlikely)
-any thing else you guys think would prove useful


if ya guys can give us some inside info would be cool.If i had it id be busy making the damn thing rather than bein a noob and bothern u guys

Here are what answers I have time for, hope they help…

-can i make an insane sized map like in empires?
*You can make really big maps, but as with any game, this is one of the factors that will take up your PC resources. So, if you make a maximum size map, literally covered with flora and objects, (especially animated objects), with lots of triggers running, all of that is going to contribute to how smooth your game will run. The trick is balancing all of those factors into a scenario that realizes your vision.

-Mountable chariots or horses for the heroes like in some movies?
*There are mountable chariots in the editor that are “somewhat” functional. Through triggers and creativity they can be incorporated into a scenario.

-making some of the campaigne weapons/powers available via triggers...ie multishot, piercing shot (these will be artifacts hidden on the map for heroes to find)
*This is completely doable.


-how high can terrain be made?. Im wanting to make an insanely massive Mountain..way bigga than that godzilla!!!..haha
*Terrain higher than Godzilla can be made. I haven’t checked to see what the max is though.

*Yes

*Yes, as you guessed, with triggers.

yeah i know the map size effects performance but my systems pretty alright and ill find out soon enough how far i can push it

that gives me some options for my scenario
