So I read Intrepid's instructions in the sticky

Quote:

# Now make a text file (Notepad works) with the following format (do not include bolded text) (Make certain the file you create is a .rmv NOT A TEXT FILE, to get a .rmv save the text file using *.*):

File Title: .rmv

File Contents:

UseMapGenerator"Default"
DisplayName
DisplayHelp

# Put this file in your Map Scripts folder.

Now when you set up a Multiplayer game you

I am afraid to say that for someone with as little computer savvy as myself these aren't clear enough. So, I open Notepad, and then what? Do I type in the [ScenarioTitle].rmv then press space then type in UseMapGenerator"Default"? Or do I drag the SCN file into notepad? Then what do I do? Do I save it into the folder? I don't get the *.* option. Could someone please elaborate and offer some help? I am terribly confused.

•Now make a text file (Notepad works) with the following format (do not include underlined text);

File Title: [Scenario Title goes here].rmv

File Contents:

UseMapGenerator"Default"

DisplayName[Scenario Title goes here.]

DisplayHelp[Help text goes here.]

•Put this file in your Map Scripts folder.

OK, making the .rmv file. First look at the instructions above.

-Underlined text is so you know what the text that follows it is. Underlined text is not to be included.

-[Bracketed text] shows you where your customized text goes. The text they contain gets replaced by your custom text.

-The File Title is what/how you name your rmv file.

-The File Contents shows what goes inside your rmv file.

So, open Notepad, copy and paste this into it:

UseMapGenerator"Default"

DisplayName[Scenario Title goes here.]

DisplayHelp[Help text goes here.]

Now replace the contents of the brackets with your title and help text.

In Notepad click File, then Save As, in the File Name space, write your scenario title, then a period, then rmv. Click Save and put this file in the Map Scripts folder.

Hope that clarifies it for you.
