Hello, I have devoted a fair amount of time into designing a multiplayer scenario. I have shaped the land and configured the environment, textures, flora, fauna, glow, and world player units/buildings. Now I just need to know how to do two things; how do I configure outposts to be capturable, and how do I configure the triggers to have players from team one start here and players from team two start there? (it is an 8 player map). I understand how basic triggers work, but not these. If someone could tell me how I would greatly apprechiate it.

outpost are capturable. Just checkmark the "outpost player" box in the players section.

If I could lok at your map, I may be able to help

In the Players section, page 2 button is outpost player button.

In Players section, options button is team alliances buttons.

Thanks, when I go to outpost player button I see the outpost button at the end of the list, I selected all those, this has no effect at all when I choose test and try to play the map, everyone is Greek, including the outposts I must still be doing something wrong.

Team alliance only lets me choose to make people friends or enemies, how can I make it so players choose their side on booting the scenario?

Each Player should have a minimum starting unit set of one Greek Town Center (MP) and three Citizens. These must be Greek units in order to allow the game to alter them to match the player’s civ choice when the game is set up. (If you want to make a standard old multiplayer scenario you can, just remember that you need a building of some sort on the map for a player not to be declared defeated when the scenario starts.)

Thanks Keaton, that's what I did! I have three greek town centers and 3 greek citizens at my 4 starting points on the map!

However, when I TEST it or try to play the map it comes up all Greek and does not let the player make any choice! What am I doing wrong?

Also, all my outposts on the map are Greek! (see above posts)

I haven't been able to log in to play online

This will have to be single player only, if I can figure these issues out!

Thanks for your help!

Go to players section and checkmarck "active" on AI tab, for all players. That might help.

Thank you, I checked on the players setting page 2 and made sure all players are set to AI active, under all at top and under the player listings from left to right.

Outpost only is on and I noticed on the first player page it shows:

human
Greece
Greece
Greece

On the player page 2 it shows:

Egypt
Greece
Persia
Rome

as the players....and when I try to test it everyone comes up as the same Greek side, even the outposts
I thought we had to have all greek structures for the AI to allow player select...

If you're testing it via the Test Mode in the editor, the civ will not change. Make your rmv file and then run it as a normal game (not while in the editor).
